Here are some results from our very first Kindergarten project! The students talked about creating a sculpture as opposed to a 2D work of art. We thought of all different kinds of lines, including curly, zigzag, swirled, curvy, pointy, and more. Using different colors of paper, we created all of those lines. The students really solved problems trying to figure out how to make their lines look like they want. They created "feet" on the lines, added glue, and stuck them to their paper. They were encouraged to use their whole paper and overlap and layer their lines. The results are beautiful! The last picture is a sample of how they are currently being displayed in the art room.
