As part of our color project, the students have been given magenta, blue, and yellow paint. They used the paint to try to get all of the secondary colors. Then they rubbed their paintings together to create symmetrical designs. We talked about what symmetrical means. On the final day, the students drew one wing on their folded paper to create a butterfly design. Then they cut them out and embellished their designs with their scraps. They turned out so neat I couldn't wait to show them on the blog!
